Visualise enjoying the best of the best on this six day private tour. With your private driver and vehicle, enjoy touring the regions and taking in everything from historic monuments to avant garde winery tastings.

Spain's Basque region is famed the world over for it's food and wine offering, and this package neatly wraps up what you must see, do and taste while here.

With a home base in Bilbao for the first three nights, it's an easy paced exploration of La Rioja and San Sebastian then onto to Burgos for a night. From there you visit the lesser know but just as amazing Arlanza wine region, and finally you taste the offerings of the Ribera del Duero before spending a final night in Valladolid.

This perfect package is dotted with walking tours to highlight the history of ancient cities, a couple of cooking classes and dining in two fine Michelin starred restaurants. If northern Spain is what you are after, this private tour may be for you.

Bilbao

Arrive at Bilbao Airport to warm Basque greeting. Transfer in from Bilbao in a private vehicle to your hotel. Following your check in there will be a guided walking tour of the city (half day) including the astonishing Guggenheim Museum, with escorted pintxos dinner at Old Quarter.

La Rioja

Enjoy a full day guided wine tour today of Spain’s famed La Rioja region. Visit traditional villages and sample wines processed in all manner of environments – from medieval caves to spectacular modernist design wineries. Visit to two wineries (regular visit, not private) with lunch in one of them. Return to Bilbao. Dinner at Michelin Star restaurant.

San Sebastian

Make a second full day tour to the gastronomic city of San Sebastian. Located on the coast of northern Spain, this foodie’s delight is wrapped around one of Europe’s finest beaches. Once you arrive, take a fascinating guided visit of the city, built around a crescent shaped bay. You will quickly understand why it has been admired and visited by so many for so long. Take in panoramic vistas of the area from the Igueldo viewpoint. Lunch at a typical cider house. Return to Bilbao Basque cuisine cooking class for dinner.

Burgos

Your private vehicle will take you to Arlanza wine region. Upon arrival there will be a winery visit and lunch (this is hosted in private by winery personnel, perhaps even the winemaker). Following lunch it’s time to explore the city of Burgos with a guided tour. This is one of the favorite cities on the Pilgrim’s Road to Santiago de Compostela. Don’t miss the old quarters and the Cathedral, declared World Heritage. Dinner at Michelin Star restaurant.

Valladolid

Continue from Burgos this morning to the Ribera del Duero wine region, where once again you will enjoy a full day touring the region. The more than one thousand year old Peñafiel Castle and beautiful Plaza del Coso can be found in this area, and you will visit each. Following is a winery with with a private tasting. Traditional lunch in the area. Valladolid, home to an interesting collection of Renaissance buildings comprising houses, palaces, churches, and one of its most emblematic buildings, its cathedral. Tapas dinner.
