Bosnia and Herzegovina is a unique destination, in that its food and wine is so intertwined with its history—every bite or drop tells a unique story of time and place. Boasting native grape varieties including the Blatina red wine grape, grown primarily in the Herzegovina
region, the Žilavka white wine grape from the Mostar region, and the Vranac grape from the southwest Balkan peninsula, there’s much for the epicurean to enjoy. These fresh-flavoured wines are designed to be enjoyed with traditional Bosnian dishes like the sirnica (baked cheese pie in phyllo dough), and the cevapcici (grilled Balkan sausages).
