Spend four nights in an 18th century country villa, surrounded by fields of lavender and sunflowers.
Enjoy cooking classes to learn of the local cuisine, visit an organic winemaker, and join with a local hunter and his dogs in search of black truffles.
There is also time to explore the nearby medieval towns of Assisi, Montefalco, Bevagna and Spello.
This is a compact, yet relaxed introduction to Umbria.

In the afternoon, you are expected in a Country House near Trevi where a warm welcome will await you.

In the morning, you have time to visit Trevi, Montefalco oand/r Bevagna, three medieval towns not far from your country house.
In the early afternoon there will be a cooking course with Rita in the country house. During this course, typical local dishes are prepared from locally sourced products.
Dinner this evening will feature the dishes you have prepared.

Truffle Hunt
After breakfast, leave the country house and head into the mountains above Trevi, an area famous for black truffles. You’ll meet with a local truffle hunter and his trained dogs for your own truffle hunting expedition in search of the ‘black diamonds of the kitchen’.
An omelette with fresh truffle is prepared in the field. Afterward, there will be a lunch where there will be more truffle dishes to enjoy.
In the evening you are free to dine somewhere on your own.

Cooking Class & Assisi
After breakfast, there will be an outing to a local organic wine growers-family. First, you visit their wine cellar then this will be following by a delicious cooking course with Maria and Annalaura. They know all about the Umbrian cuisine and how to pair appetizing dishes with the right wines. Lunch with your self-prepared dishes and their organic wines will top off a wonderful morning.
After lunch, you have the time to visit beautiful Assisi. A detailed cultural walking map will introduce you to the most famous monuments of this medieval city.
In the evening you are free to dine somewhere on your own.

Your accommodation is an 18th-century farmhouse that has been completely renovated to modern standards with the use of natural and recycled materials and solar panels for energy.
