Hi, I'm Karen.
I've been working in travel since 1992. Over that time I have travelled a lot and I think that's what makes the difference for my clients. The fact that I have been to many places around the world gives you confidence that I am not just picking a hotel or a day tour because it looks good, it's because I know. And that is a huge thing. I don't recommend anything until I feel I understand what people are really looking for, and that requires asking the right questions and careful listening. Everyone's requests and reasons for travelling are different, and that is where a tailored approach to each client is important. Travel is not a one-size-fits-all commodity. It's highly personal and it takes a unique approach in each case to find the perfect answers. I'd like to think that after nearly 30 years as a travel professional, that is the type of service I deliver. To keep me on top of my game, I travel both internationally and domestically several times a year, simply looking for what my clients may find appealing. My specialty is obviously food and wine themed holidays. I'm an experimental home cook and I just love wine. I love everything about it!! Learning about it, visiting where it's grown, matching it with food and of course drinking it!!!! I digress, apologies.I also enjoy working on complicated itineraries, advising on business class travel and helping with frequent flyer related questions. Additionally, I look after your more simple holiday bookings, flights and anything else you need in your travels. Robin Shaw is Australia's wine tourism guru. She has been at the forefront of developing new winery experience models for over 20 years, has managed one of Australia's most successful cellar doors and tourism experiences for Pernod Ricard at the Jacobs Creek Visitor Centre, and is a former CEO of the stunning Adelaide Hills Wine region. Robin consults globally on wine tourism and her sharp wine industry insights and approachable presenting style has led to her emergence as a highly regarded international tour host and dynamic public speaker.
Robin has been a recipient of a prestigious Winston Churchill Fellowship to study global wine tourism innovation, after which she developed a suite of industry resources including 'The Australian Wine Tourism Toolkit' and an innovative Wine Tourism Workshop Program which she successfully delivered throughout Australia, South Africa and Chile. She also hosts wine tourism study tours for industry professionals to locations around the world that epitomise best practice and service excellence, which is how she is involved with Food and Wine Travel.
In addition to her own consulting work, Robin is the Product Development Manager at Food and Wine Travel, working alongside Karen seeking out wine experiences specifically for our clients enjoyment.
Elyse is a International Travel Consultant who has a never-diminishing love of travel. She studied Certificate 3 in Travel and Tourism at Australian College and is an Accredited Cruise Master through the Cruising Lines International Association.
Elyse has been to 8 countries over the past 5 years, and doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon. Elyse's travels have taken her to some pretty wonderful places but her favourite place in the world so far is Isle of Pines in New Caledonia, because of its powder white sand, crystal clear waters and most of all, the beautiful people. Elyse's most recent trip overseas was to amazing Vietnam, where she got to eat some incredible food, meet some lovely people and learn a lot about Vietnamese culture. Because of this trip, Vietnam is very high on Elyse's favourite places in the world. During her travels she has been to many different areas of the world, and has had many amazing experiences that she loves to share with all of her wonderful clients.
There are lots of destinations and experiences on her bucket list, and she hopes to tick them all off eventually. This may be difficult though, as she adds to the list with almost every amazing booking that she does for her clients.
Food is also a big part of Elyse's life and she loves to try new things while travelling. The most exotic delicacy that she's had is Hot Vit Lon, a fertilized duck egg which is incubated for a period of up to 19-21 days then is hard boiled! It tastes just like salty hard boiled egg, if anyone is wondering. If you ever want to get on her good side though, good wine and cheese will never go to waste!
In her downtime, Elyse also has a love of music and theatre and is involved in local theatre companies around Mildura, such as Sunraysia Gangshow and Musical Society Mildura.

Danny-Ross began his career in the travel and tourism industry back in 2017 when he obtained his diploma of Travel and Tourism, as well as a diploma of Business.
He is a travel and aviation enthusiast, and has traveled to all corners of the world.
Beginning his world travel in 2014, he set off to the United States of America on his first overseas trip. Whilst over in the States, he explored the streets of New York City and California.
He soon caught the travel bug and found himself on cruises and flights to places like; Fiji, Singapore, Hawaii, and Canada.
Callie is our youngest employee, joining us in February 2019 and she has already shown her potential. Undertaking a course in Travel and Tourism she is aware of the trending travel market and is an expert on tour companies such as Contiki and Topdeck. Callie also attended a trip on which she experienced the Indian Pacific and Rottnest Island and learnt amazing insider tips for the Great Southern Rail, Rottnest Island and Western Australia.
