Short Description

Looking for a wine-themed side trip from Buenos Aries? Problem solved! This four day private wine and food escape is just what you're looking for.

With a fast and reliable connection by boat to Buenos Aires, the West region is also where the Jesuits planted the first vines during Colonial times. Even though this region is a longtime favourite for investors, it's also simply home to many small familial bodegas. Colonia is a tourist hub with steady growth where wine goes hand in hand with a good life. This place combines the new and historical within a short distance of the two capital cities. The charming gastronomy, the family owned vineyards and the distinctiveness of its accommodation make the West region the ideal starting point for your journey and to discover our wines.

Day One
Arrival in Colonia de Sacramento. Meet and greet at the port or bus terminal, followed by a guided tour of the beautiful town of Colonia. Lunch in a local restaurant. Private transport to Narbona Wine Lodge, in Carmelo. Night’s accomodation at the Lodge.

Day Two
After breakfast we’ll head to Carmelo to discover the origins of the vine in Uruguay. We’ll visit the “Bodega Cordano”, including a wine tasting, and then have lunch at the “Posada Campotinto”. During the afternoon we’ll keep exploring the area with a last tasting at the “Bodega Boutique El Lagado”. Overnight in Carmelo in one of our selected hotels.

Day Three
In the morning, after breakfast, we’ll start the day with a visit to the historical vineyard “Los Cerros de San Juan”, where we’ll enjoy an exclusive wine tasting. Then we’ll continue our trip to our hotel in Colonia where we’ll have free time to have lunch (lunch not included). The rest of the afternoon is free for your choice of activities. Night’s accommodation at the hotel included.
