Day One
Arrival at the hotel in Ragusa Ibla. Check in. Dinner on your own. Overnight Locanda Don Serafino Ragusa

Day Two B,L
RAGUSA: WALKING TOUR – morning- (about 4 hours)
At 9.30am meet your private English speaking guide in the hotel lobby and depart to discover Ragusa Ibla town, on the “Val di Noto” UNESCO World Heritage since 2002 for the late-baroque architecture of its monuments. Rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake that destroyed South -Eastern Sicily, Ragusa Ibla has the magic atmosphere of a very special baroque town, rich of treasures and amazing corners. During a two hour walking tour, our guide will introduce you to the spectacular baroque architecture that is characterized by the churches’ tower facade and the wonderful “mascheroni” (grotesque animals and statues of men and women), ornaments of the noble palaces’ balconies. You will enjoy the Dome Square with the St. George’s Dome, masterpiece of baroque architecture on the island; the Iblei Gardens with a scenic overview of the Irminio river;
the St.Joseph’s Church with a wonderful embroidered tapestry on the apsis; the La Rocca Palace with its wonderful mascheroni. At the end of the walk, we’ll knock at Baron Domenico’s doors, whose noble palace is located in the heart of Ragusa Ibla. The elegant atmosphere of ancient beautiful halls will be the ideal frame for a tasting of local products. Drinking a glass of wine, our guests will enjoy and experience the history of this amazing palace introduced by the Baron. He will tell you interesting stories about the Sicilian traditions and the family legends of 18th and 19th Century Ragusa Ibla noble society, still alive in the today one. Then, light lunch nearby with typical street food. Then you go back to your hotel or enjoy the afternoon in Ragusa. Dinner on your own.

Day Three B, L
After breakfast, hotel check out and departure to Modica, UNESCO World Heritage site, too. Today, you experience an amazing cooking class with Mrs Graziella, that introduce you to the richness of the local gastronomy to discover the highlights of its tradition: homemade pasta with local wheat (such as Russello, Tuminia, Margarito and Bidi) and delicious “secondi” prepared with zero food miles products. And of course, the famous Sicilian dessert! At the end of the cooking class, fresh aperitif and then lunch with the courses that you have made. (Wine and water included). During the cooking class, tasting of the renown Modica chocolate , that dates back to the Maya tradition!.
At the end, you drive n your own towards Noto, capital city of the “Val di Noto”UNESCO World
Heritage site . Hotel check in. Dinner on your own. Overnight stay.

Day Four B, D
NOTO: WALKING TOUR- morning (about 2 hours)
At about 9.30am meet your English speaking guide in the lobby of your hotel for a walking tour of the “Capital city” of the baroque architecture in Sicily. Noto town shows us the majestic Sicilian baroque architecture that seems to reach the sky through its volutes that dance in the air. On the main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, you will admire, among the others, the wonderful Ducezio Palace, the Cathedral, St. Charles Church, St. Francis’ Church. The visit of St. Chiara Church will
introduce you to the ancient noble families’ traditions, where the daughters were obliged to become nuns in order to preserve the family’s wealth. Palazzo Villadorata in Via Nicolaci is a wonderful example of noble baroque palace in Sicily. On that street it takes place every year in may the “Festival of Spring”. You can not miss a stop for a brioche and granita at Corrado Assenza pastry shop, where tradition meets the high quality of Sicilian desserts. At the end, you drive to Siracusa (45 min). Arrival and hotel check in .
At about 5pm you meet your English speaking guide in the lobby of your hotel for a walking tour of Ortigia, Siracusa city centre. The Apollo temple stands at the gate to Ortigia, showing us the wonderful Greek architecture. On the Dome Square, you can admire the majestic Dome, unique for its architecture: erected as Greek temple, was transformed into a Christian church first and then into an Arabic mosque during the Arabic domination. Under the Normans, it was changed again into a Christian church and rebuilt according to the late baroque architecture after the 1693 earthquake. You will then enjoy an aperitif at a wine bar, tasting two different local wines. Next stop of your walking tour will be the “Fonte Aretusa”, where the Greek mythology tells us about a very romantic love story! You end your evening in a gourmet restaurant, relaxing yourself with local food and wine tasting. Overnight stay

Day Five B, L
This morning you will enjoy a cooking class in Siracusa with Mrs Fiora, that will wait for you at her house. You visit together the fish market, where she shows you the typical vegetables in season, the fish of the Mediterranean sea, and you will also taste some Sicilian cheeses and olive oil. About one hour later, you go back home and you will cook with her some dishes of the region, in a typically
Sicilian atmosphere. Aperitif and lunch will be the perfect frame for this unforgettable morning! Dinner on your own.

Day Six 2017 B,
The archeological Park of the “Neapolis”- about 2 hours - start 9.30am.
Meeting with the guide at the entrance of the Siracusa Archeological Park (about 15 minutes
driving from Ortigia): today you will visit one of the most important Greek site s of the world! The beauty of the ancient theatre will enchant you: it is a work of the V century BC where, thanks to its acoustics, Greek dramas are still played in May and June. The Dionysius’ Ear will be the next stop. For its echo it was chosen by the tyrant Dionysius to spy on his prisoners. Witness of the Roman Empire is the Amphitheatre, where the gladiators’ plays entertained the Romans.
