This is a holiday with all the flexibility of a fly drive but with the safety of not 'drinking and driving' on wine tasting days! This is a specially designed wine lovers holiday which provides you with at least two nights in each of the major wine regions.
On the full day of your stay, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and hosted on tour that showcases the best wineries and vineyards of that region. That way you're able to enjoy your wines, and not worry about the driving for day. No one misses out and you stay safe.
Accommodation is four star plus throughout, featuring some classic wine-themed properties. Car hire, the Inter Island Ferry and two domestic airfares are also included.

Day 1: Arrive Auckland
Collect your rental car from the airport on arrival. Depending on your landing time, you may have time to explore the City of Sails and stroll along the bustling waterfront at the Viaduct Harbour. Stay: Scenic Hotel Auckland
Day 2: Auckland
Today you will be picked up from your accommodation and join the Great Tastes of Matakana Tour, leave the bustle of the city and relax on a drive through rolling green hills. With wine tasting, great local food and 21st century art and architecture this Matakana day tour is an enjoyable day out.
Day 3: Auckland to Rotorua
Depart Auckland and head south to the renowned geothermal area of Rotorua. This evening, gain an insight to the beautiful M?ori culture at

Day 6: Napier to Martinborough
Depart Napier and head to Martinborough located at the centre of the boutique wine-growing district of Wairarapa. Orchards and vineyards give way to farmland as you travel into the rural heartland. Stay: Peppers Parehua
Day 7: Martinborough
Today you will be hosted by a local expert guide on a luxury private Martinborough Food & Wine Tour. Explore the historic township of Greytown and the celebrated Martinborough wine region. See behind the scenes of premium wine brands and artisan food producers, tasting your way through the region.
Day 8: Martinborough to Blenheim
This morning you will drive to Wellington where you will board the Interislander Ferry, a three hour sailing across Raukawa Moana (Cook Strait), enjoy one of the most beautiful ferry rides in the world. After traversing the strait, you will navigate gently through the spectacular Marlborough Sounds and into Picton. Welcome to Te Waipounamu (South Island)! Day 9: Marlborough
Join the Marlborough Icons tour and savour the area’s ‘top three’ all in one day. The full-day experience begins with a visit to several wineries, giving you plenty of opportunity to sample the world-renowned sauvignon blanc. This is followed by a sublime lunch on the waterfront, and a relaxing seafood cruise in the afternoon.
Day 10: Blenheim to Christchurch
The drive south will take you through Nelson Lakes National Park, home to the beginning of the mighty Southern Alps. The enchanting alpine

Day 11: Christchurch to Lake Tekapo

Day 12: Lake Tekapo to Queenstown

Day 13: Queenstown
Today you will discover the best Central Otago has to offer on The Odyssey Experience. You’ll see some of the most amazing scenery while
indulging in exquisite local gourmet produce and world class wines. Day 14: Queenstown

Day 15: Depart Queenstown
Return your rental car at Queenstown Airport in time for your flight home.
