Etna Countryside Food & Wine Lovers Day Out

After breakfast start your “off beaten path” trip to Mt. Etna with a pick-up from your hotel by your local foodie guide. Drive through small typical Etna villages admiring authentic lava stone houses, orange, lemon, olive and almond groves, while listening to charming stories about Sicilian culture, traditions and food.
Proceed to a height of 1000 meters above sea level where you will discover the breath-taking views of this volcanic land. The first stop will be at an antique family run winery, where after a guided visit of their cellars, you’ll taste the volcanic-earth-influenced wines. These will be paired with organic Etna appetizers in an astonishing lava stone open air amphitheatre.
We continue on to your next gastronomic experience which will be in an authentic picturesque farmhouse. Here you’ll enjoy a sumptuous lunch of seasonal antipasti, homemade pasta and typical pastries.
Return to Taormina later in the afternoon, and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

After breakfast you’ll be collected by your private driver and start the day with visit of ancient winery located in Syracuse countryside. We’ll be welcomed by the owner, have a guided visit of the cellars and the old millstone.

Today you will sample some of the best of Sicilian street food during a 3 hour walking tour of Palermo. This food tour, led by a local expert guide, explores the fascinating culinary world of Sicily’s capital and includes visit of the famous and bustling Vucciria and Mercato del Capo outdoor markets, tasting five different Sicilian treats along the way — including ‘panelle’ (chickpea fritters) and ‘arancine’ (deep-fried rice balls).
