Food and wine lovers, you've found the perfect week long private tour of Sicily.
Travel west to east with your own guide, staying in 4 star boutique hotels, you will take in all that this delicious island has to offer.
Experience wines and food from ancient times through to today with generous tastings and virtually all meals included.
This very specially designed itinerary is the ultimate tasting tour of Sicily.
Arrival
Fly into Palermo airport in the morning, and there’s not a moment to waste!
You will be met and transferred to your first visit at Castelvetrano. They are a small producer of high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil with one of the oldest olive plantation in Sicily. Oil tasting and lunch with organic and seasonal products.
Transfer to a dairy in Salemi area which produces the Pecorino cheese and Vastedda del Belice (the only Sicilian cheese made of spun paste with sheep’s milk (Slow Food)).
Transfer to your accommodation, relax, dinner and overnight.
Overnight in Marsala area

Trapani & Salt Pans
After breakfast, transfer to Trapani for a guided visit of the city centre.
Then it’s time to take part in a hands-on cooking class to make seafood couscous and a typical Trapanese pasta which you will eat for lunch.
In the afternoon visit the salt pans and learn how the salt extraction process takes place.
Depart in the direction of the Marsala area with a stop en-route at a winery for a wine tasting at the sunset. Enjoy a breath taking view of Egadi islands.
Return to the hotel, relax, dinner and overnight

Erice & Palermo
Transfer to Erice, and visit a medieval village on the mountaintop overlooking Trapani.
Taste typical almond sweets, then depart to a nearby family cellar for a guided visit and light lunch with paired wine tasting.
After lunch, transfer to Palermo. Along the way, stop in Dattilo for a tasting treat – of one of the best Sicilian cannolo with handmade ricotta cheese!

Palermo
After breakfast, depart for a walking tour of street food in Palermo city. This is an easy and colourful experience to discover the markets and taste several specialties of Palermo street food.
In the afternoon there will be a guided visit to the main monuments and attractions of Palermo such as Cappella Palatina, the Cathedral, the Catacombs and the Zisa Castle. Return to the hotel, dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight.

Castelbuono, Zafferana Etnea
Departure to Castelbuono, a village on the Madonie mountains.
Visit a farm that extracts the Manna from the ash tree (a sweet delicacy unique to this region), followed by a rustic lunch with their own products.
After lunch transfer to the Zafferana Etnea area, stop to taste Etna honey and liquors.

Noto, Modica & Ragusa
Check-out and depart for nearby Noto. Here you will have a guided visit of this charming baroque village. The visit will include a tasting of the typical Moscato di Noto sweet wine, perfectly paired with local almond pastries.
Transfer to a farm nearby to indulge in a local produce lunch based on their own organic and seasonal products. They also produce almond milk here which you will be able to taste.
After lunch transfer to Modica, the city of 100 churches and UNESCO World Heritage Listed location, for a guided city visit and a chocolate class.
Transfer to the hotel in Ragusa area, dinner on your own and overnight.

Ispica & Marzamemi
After breakfast, depart for Ispica; this town is famous for vegetable production! You will visit first the town and then a dairy producer who makes the famous Caciocavallo Ragusano cheese, which of course you will be able to taste.
Following the cheese stop, you will transfer to Marzamemi which is a small fishing village, to visit a producer specialised in fish preserves and cherry tomatoes.
Enjoy a light lunch with their products including delicacies such as tuna roe and tuna salami.
In the afternoon we visit a local a herb garden, where we enjoy a stroll through the plants to smell and learn about their different characteristics.
Finally tonight we indulge in dinner featuring these herbs, which is served in their greenhouse.
At the end return to the hotel and overnight.

Check-out and transfer to Siracusa to visit the Archaeological Park and Ortigia.
