Later in the afternoon a short bus ride will take us to the Verduno Castle which belonged to the Italian royal family where we will be introduced to the secrets of Piedmont refined cuisine via a cooking class, and have dinner with what we created. Back in Monforte for the night.

Brunate Barolo – Barbaresco – We have not finished with Barolo yet, as it is a wine that deserves a lot of attention. After a leisurely breakfast, we will be driven to La Morra, a small village from where one can enjoy a breathtaking view over the vineyard covered hills; we will then visit Marengo winery, one of the 6 producers of Barolo “Brunate” made with the harvest of a single vineyard. It is a modern, family owned winery, but one of the best. A short ride will take us to Neive, a small village nestled among the most beautiful boroughs of Italy. Lunch will be on the terrace of a nearby restaurant overlooking the Barbaresco vineyards.
