Barolo Wines

After breakfast meet with the driver and your local tour guide for departure to discover the growing area of Barolo. This is one of the most highly-prized wines in the world, starting from Barolo, the town from which the King of Wines and Wine of Kings gets its name. There will be a guided visit to the WiMu – Wine Museum hosted in the stunning Castel of Barolo: a journey through the history of wine production, with scenography effects and interactive installations.

A short transfer will follow to visit a well-known wine cellar with tasting. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by vineyards growing Barolo wine: lunch will be a sample of the specialities of Langhe-style cuisine, to savour while seated comfortably.

Transfer to Alba, the capital of Langhe hills, for a stroll in the elegant town centre among boutiques, historical cafes and typical products. There will be free time for shopping.

This evening dinner will be enjoyed in a characteristic restaurant.

Tastes of Piedmont & Cooking

After breakfast, meet your driver and guide, then depart to discover the area of Alta Langhe, where the landscape becomes wilder thanks to woods and hazelnut groves.

Visit a small farm producing hazelnuts: from the grove to the laboratory with final tasting.

The panoramic tour continues for a guided visit to a niche cheese producer with tasting lunch. There will be some time to relax and enjoy the pure air and the bucolic surroundings.

Return to you accommodation for some free time before an exciting cooking lesson to discover ‘the cuisine of Langhe’. This will be a hands-on
experience where you’ll learn to prepare a complete traditional menu based on local recipes: the dishes prepared during the lesson will then be tasted afterwards at dinner, in the special atmosphere of candle-lit wine barrels.

Transfer to Liguria & Pesto Lesson

After your breakfast buffet and check-out, transfer to the Italian Riviera with private driver (about 2 hours).

Check-in at your boutique accommodation in the charming atmosphere of Genoa historical centre.

Your private local tour guide will welcome you and together you’ll make your way to a magnificent Renaissance palace where our Pesto expert will teach you how to make the famous green sauce with mortar and pestle, as the tradition wants. At the end of the lesson you will taste pasta with the delicious Pesto you will have prepared, together with other local specialties and Ligurian wine.

Enjoy the afternoon to relax or discover more on your own.

After breakfast, meet your private tour guide for a walking tour of the historical centre of Genoa, discovering its monuments, narrow alleys and ancient food shops! Wandering through the “Carrugi” alleys is a unique experience and we believe that by just walking through this maze of historical streets, you’ll find the “real” essence of Genoa.

Discover the largest medieval old town in Europe, walk along its authentic ancient alleyways, stop in the squares and in the renaissance streets of the historical town and visit the century old food shops to taste some of the most typical local products!

For lunch you will enjoy a meal at one of the oldest “trattoria” in Genoa and taste local specialties such as the Farinata, cooked in the wood oven. The afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy as you wish.

Cinque Terre & Vineyards

After breakfast, meet your private guide and make your way to the Cinque Terre area. Today you will take an authentic tour of the picturesque villages. Exploring the hamlets with an insider will allow you to get in touch with the authentic soul of these lovely villages, as you are steered away from crowds and tourist traps. You will discover secret corners and the best places to take amazing pictures.

To understand the real essence of Cinque Terre, your experience continues visiting the amazing vineyards overlooking the sea. A local wine producer will welcome you in his vertical vineyards, where you will hear his story and discover the huge job there is behind the heroic wine of Cinque Terre.

After admiring the breath-taking panorama you will visit the ancient cellar and taste the most typical Cinque Terre wines among which the rare Sciacchetrà, paired with traditional appetizers. Transport between the Cinque Terre villages by train.

Portofino & Eco Farm Lunch

After breakfast, meet your private guide and make your way to the Portofino area. Start your visit with the lovely coastal village of Santa Margherita with its painted palaces, villas and the fishing harbour.

From here, you will take a panoramic trip by public boat along the beautiful coast until you reach Portofino. The famous village of Portofino is immersed in a unique natural setting made of Mediterranean vegetation, olive groves and vineyards and today you will discover its most authentic side.

You’ll be welcomed by a local producer to visit an eco farm which has emerged from the recovery of abandoned lands. It aims to develop sustainable agriculture and sustainable tourism. The view will leave you speechless with its gardens perched on the rocks between sea and sky.

Enjoy a private guided tour of the hops area, visit the bees, the vineyard, olive grove and taste local products.

With a pleasant and easy walk of about fifteen minutes, you will reach an old mill where a delicious tasting lunch with be provided. Taste local specialties such as vegetable cakes and pasta with the famous Pesto sauce.

In the afternoon, take a digestive stroll in the village with its lovely piazzetta overlooking the sea, the glittering boutiques and VIP yachts. The remainder of the day is spent at your leisure.
