Add this five day package to your next trip to Europe and you will experience a country which is full of life and surprises. You will be based in Yerevan in a five star hotel, making day tours into the regional countryside of Armenia to explore and taste everything from brandy to fruit wines.
The Wine Days of Yerevan are held early May each year and can be combined with this package. If you miss the Wine Days, the package will still work!

Day One City Tour
“Ararat” Brandy Factory
Early morning arrival to Yerevan. Transfer to your selected hotel. Yerevan City tour including all major sights such as monument Mother Armenia, Cascade Complex, Baghramyan Ave, Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, Opera House and Republic Square. Visit Megerian Carpet Factory, where you will take a tour and you will get acquainted with Armenian carpet history and technique. Visit to Ararat Brandy Factory: excursion with the degustation of 2 types of brandy. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day Two
Khor Virap, Noravank & Wine Factory
Breakfast at the hotel. Driving to explore the most amazing attractions in the south of Armenia. Visit Khor Virap – a medieval monastery and the greatest place for embracing the most picturesque views of the mountain Ararat. Continue to Areni village famous for its rich vineyards. Here was found the world’s oldest wine cellar (6200 years old) by archaeologists, inside the Areni Cave. The village of Areni is believed to be a place where one of the oldest grape varieties has been cultivated since ancient times. The archaeologists have unearthed a wine press for stomping grapes, fermentation and storage vessels, drinking cups, and withered grape vines, skins, and seeds. Visit to Old Bridge wine factory to taste local wine and familiarize with the technology of wine making: (Menu: raspberry, apple, apricot peach, pomegranate, cherry wines etc.) and Areni Cave. Afterwards, drive to Noravank monastery, which is built in an inaccessible location among stunning nature. On the main highway to Yerevan, individual wine-makers offer their homemade wine, where it may be possible to stop for an impromptu tasting. Drive back to Yerevan and visit traditional market Gum where one can find a large range of organic food such as dry and fresh fruits and vegetables, spices, etc. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day Three
Garni Geghard & Wine Festival
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the pagan temple Garni (77 AD) - only Hellenistic temple existing in the region. We will continue our trip to Garni Gorge - a wonderful canyon shaped by the ever-flowing river Goght. This part of Garni Gorge typically means as the "Symphony of the Stones". A trip to the cave Monastery Geghard (4-13th C UNESCO). Lunch in a local family house where we can see the baking process of Armenian traditional flatbread, lavash. We will taste both appetizing dishes and delicious homemade fruit wines. After, “Yerewine Days” wine festival in city centre. Overnight in Yerevan

Day Four
Sasunik, Saghmosavank & Wine Factory
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Sasunik Village in Aragatsotn Province. The wine produced in Aragatsotn is mainly from the vineyards located to the south of the Aragats and Arteni mountains. Visit to “Armenia Wine” winery: introduction to Armenian wine, excursion inside the factory-brandy production units, aging cellars, souvenir shop and wine tasting in a specialized tasting room (grapes: Kangun, Areni). Next stop is “Armenian Alphabet Monument and Saghmosavank monastery complex. Return to Yerevan. Overnight in the capital.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
